Constance H. Eymer

Constance Howe Eymer, 92, formerly of 245 Minard Run Road, Bradford, passed away on April 23, 2023, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home after a 20-year battle with Alzheimer's.

Connie was born on September 14, 1931, to Robert and Evelyn Howe in Bradford. While Connie lived in many locations across the United States as a child, she returned to Bradford during her senior year of high school. She has remained a Bradford resident. Upon graduation from Bradford High School, Connie attended Lock Haven State Teachers College (now Lock Haven University). There, she met Bradford native Bruce Eymer. Bruce and Connie married in June 1954 at the First Baptist Church.

Aside from a 10-year hiatus to raise a family, Connie was a reading specialist throughout the Bradford Area School District, until her retirement in 1991. After retirement, Connie and Bruce traveled the world. A life-long learner and teacher, Connie presented informative programs about their travels to various community groups after returning from each trip.

Connie is survived by three children, Douglas Eymer (Selene) of Scituate, MA; Jane Noel (Christopher) of Greeley, CO; and Martha Waldron (Duane) of Johnson City, TN; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Gayle Heaton of Tupelo MS.

Connie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bruce, who passed away on September 18, 2013.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service on Tuesday April 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
