All Condolences -

Thankyou all for your kind words and for sharing your memories and descriptions of a wonderful lady. I hold my memories close and cherish the experiences of picking blueberries and baking pies, hiking and exploring, looking at all of the plants, tearing up newspapers while playing monopoly and munching on grandma crackers, kielbasa and sauerkraut, shrimp, cookies, and grandma punch- all while watching the ball in anticipation of gleefully shouting "Happy New Year!!" while surrounded by family. Sweet sweet Grandma Jean. ?? My how the times have been loved and the time swiftly passed since your passing. We shall hold our memories and beloved family close and contemplate what makes a lasting legacy. Love, Stef ps thankyou Hollenbeck Cahill for keeping the obituary sites live. It is a treasure.

My mother, Dorothy Lunday, spoke of Jean fondly as she helped my mother care for my grandmother, Sue Bosworth. She was an angel for my mom as she cared for my grandmother. We saw her a year ago at my Aunt Ruth's 100th birthday and I was so glad to meet her. Her sweet heart and love to help others was visible as she and my mother visited. May God and your faith see you through this time and bring comfort. Bonnie Wilder and Dorothy Lunday

We met Jean in 2007, when we were on the Allegheny Forest Ministries Board. She was the cofounder of that organization, and she was the rock during some trying times. We will miss her smile and can do spirit. She always found the good in people and was a joy to be around. Heaven has definitely gained an angel. We want to extend our deepest sympathy to the family at this trying time.

Jean and I worked together in Hospice for many years. We were a team-she was the nurse and I was the social worker. She was an incredible hospice nurse-she just had a special gift. She contributed so much to the community. She was a gracious, special lady and will surely be missed.

Jean has been a beloved friend since 1995. She has always had a lot of love for other people. She has always been a sister to Jane and me. It is sad to lose her here, but we know she is with the Lord and is at peace. We will miss her until we can rejoin her when our time comes. God be with her family.

Jean was my cousin and friend. We spent many hours together throughout our lifetime, as children and at family reunions. Everyone that met Jean loved her. She had more compassion than anyone I've known. The world has lost yet another great humanitarian. You will be missed, Jean!

Heaven has gained an angel. Aunt Jean was such an example to me. She lived what she said. She was one of the strongest people I knew. With all the hardships life gave her she still managed to find the good in things. I will cherish the memories of the family reunions she put together. I have fond childhood memories going to her house and playing with the girls. She loved her family and she made sure you knew that you were loved. She will be greatly missed by all. Our deepest sympathy to you girls and your families. Love and prayers

She was so nice whenever we were around her. We enjoyed her visit with us a few years ago at Thanksgiving time immensely. I know she will be missed by her family. Our prayers go out to you all.
