Walter W. Bennett

Walter W. Bennett, 62, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, of Cyclone, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at his residence.

Born March 24, 1953, in Salamanca, he was a son of the late Constance (Bennett) Borton.

Mr. Bennett attended Jamestown High School. He had been employed in the fracking division at Haliburton for 6 years, worked as a security guard for Pinkerton, worked 14 years at Bradford Forest Products, and later as a technician for Direct TV.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing. He will be missed by his Rottweiler's "Bella" and "Theodore".

Surviving is one son, William K.G. Bennett, of Kane, three daughters, Alycia C.I. Patterson, of Bradford, Jody Dennison, of CA, and Laurie Baldwin, of Bristolville, OH, one sister, Kandice Mabon, of Russell , 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his companion, Diana Haggard, the mother of his children, Cheryl Bennett McLane, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Holly and Angel and 3 brothers, Cliff, Ted and Kenneth.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 10:00 to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Frank P. Hill, pastor of Overcomers Church of Faith officiating. Burial will be in Fentonville Cemetery, Fentonville, NY.
