Bernice J. Wolfe

Bernice J. Wolfe, 89, of 546 West Corydon Street Bradford, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born in Clarington, on May 3, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Daryl and Verla (Rossy) Irwin.

She was raised by Willis and Verla Ishman and attended schools in Clarington and Bradford High School.

On September 6, 1946, in Bradford, she married Francis L. Wolfe, who died on October 18, 1987.

She was a member of West Branch United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star Lodge.

She was employed at Nitsche Turkey Farm for ten years and later at Forest Oil Company from where she retired in 1987.

Surviving is one daughter, Becky (Clayton) Zandy, of Bradford, one son, Bruce L. (Linda) Wolfe, of Williamsport, two sisters, Phyllis (the late Emery) Aharrah, of Bradford and Carol (Bill) Woodring, of Bradford, three grandchildren Shawn Zandy, Chad Zandy and Alysia Correa, 4 great grandchildren Tabitha Zandy, Raven Zandy, Derek Correa and Makayla Correa and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., Bradford, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, with Rev. Barbara Moore, Pastor of the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimers Association or a charity of the donors choice.
