Richard Pete Fowler

Richard W. "Pete" Fowler, 67, of 18 Dennis Lane, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his residence.

Born October 3, 1949, in Kane, he was a son of the late Richard D. and Grace (Barber) Fowler. He was a 1968 graduate of Bradford High School. 

On May 18, 1985 in Duke Center, he married Gloria (Cook) Fowler, who passed away March 24, 2006.

On May 5, 1969 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, BoStar Medal, Marksman (Mortar) Air Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 DVC, Army Comendation Medal W/"V" DVC 1st OLC, two Overseas Bars, and Marksman (M-14 Rifle) (Hand Grenade) 1st Class.

Pete returned to Bradford after his tour of duty and worked for WR Case & Sons Cutlery for over 40 years. He was a member of VFW Post #212, American Legion Post #108, The Eagle's Club and The Italian Club. 

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his Challenger. He also bowled in the City Bowling League. He unconditionally loved his family and friends. 

Surviving are four step daughters, Tina (Rick) Armsheimer, Michele (Scotty) Fricke, Lynn (Jamie) Quattrochhi and Donna (John) Daugharty, a step son, Alan (Kelly) Black,  one brother, Jim (Marcia) Fowler, of Mt Alton; two nephews, Matt J. (Angie) Fowler and Michael L. (Michele Pede) Fowler, and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother Robert L. "Bob" Fowler.

Family will be receiving friends Friday October 14, 2016, 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
