Connie L. Newcome, 76, formerly of Bolivar Drive, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born January 19, 1940, in Smethport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Anderson) Larson.

She was the widow of Arthur H. Newcome, who died on April 30, 2011.

Mrs. Newcome was a graduate of Smethport High School and a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in Education. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University to complete her Master’s Degree. She taught in Cyclone Elementary School, then later at the Smethport Elementary School for over 30 years.

Conie was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, PSEA and enjoyed going to the Bradford Senior Center, reading, writing and playing the piano.

Surviving is a daughter, Dr. Megan N. (Shane) Brown, of Lakewood, NY, a son, Dirk (Rachel) Wooster of Douglasville, GA, three step daughters, Mikey Jo (Jack) Titus of Marcellus NY, Jackie (Robert) Briggs of Estes CO, Susan (Kevin) Hartman of Gifford,  and one stepson, Gary Newcome of Savannah GA, 2 grandchildren, Colton Wooster and Caroline Brown, 8 step grandchildren, and 13 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Richard Larson.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc, 372 East Main Street, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00am with her son, Rev. Dirk Wooster, officiating. Committal service and burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Smethport.
