John M. Sherrick, 58, of Bradford, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016.

Born March 28, 1958, in Bradford, he was a son of Edwin C Sherrick, of Bradford and the late Mary Lou (Barrett) Fitch.

John graduated from Bradford High School in 1976 and enlisted in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged.  

After the service he relocated to New Hampshire where he attended college and studied accounting. He later took a job as a Insurance Salesman for Prudential, then as a Supervisor at Hamshire Mills in Nashua NH.

John was a member of the Eagles and American Legion.

Surviving is his father and stepmother Ted (Kathleen) Sherrick, of Bradford, two brothers, Charlie (Lynne) Sherrick, of Bradford, and Randy L. (Leslie) Sherrick of Frewsburg NY, four sisters, Lori Ann (Daryl) Smith, of Charleston SC, Lisa M. (Jim) Pacifico, of Punta Gorda FL, Heather A. Springsteen, of Syracuse NY, Leslie E. Shriner, of Orlando FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and one son Joshua M. Sherrick.

At the family's request there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of family at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., with Rev. Mike McAvoy, Pastor of the  Open Arms Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
