Dana Nana Duffy

Dana "THE Nana" Duffy, 72, of 2 Gilbert Lane Bradford, passed away peacefully, November 2, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 16, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Monnie and Ina (Retzbach) Metzger. She was a graduate of Carl Place High School in 1962.

On October 24, 1964 in North Floral Park, NY, she married Gerard Richard Duffy, Jr., who died in March 14, 1993.

Mrs. Duffy worked as a cashier for 19 years at Walmart.

She was an avid bowler and dart player, and was a member of the Secret Sisters. She cooked meals for the Lion Club meetings. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are two children, a daughter, Anre (Pat) Yohe, of Bradford, a son, Gerard (Mourice) Duffy III, 3 grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Burkett, Gerard (Lea Richman) Duffy IV, and Justin (Kenna) Yohe, two great grandchildren, Patrick Yohe and Christopher Yohe, two sisters, Karen (Glenn) Anderson and Janet (Stan) Nilsen and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Howard Zimmerman, her husband, and one sister Jeanie Wolfe.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 10:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. with Rev. Dan LaPage, officiating.
