James E. Coder, 71, of 3 State Street, Bradford, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born February 18, 1945 in Bradford, he was the son of the late Jewell "Julie" (Johns) DePaul and Ron Coder.
Mr. Coder was a 1963 graduate of Bradford High School and then joined the National Guard.
He began his working career at Corning Glass and later with W. R. Case and Sons.
He was a member of the former Bradford Moose Lodge, the American Legion, Vets Club, Eagles Club and the Marche Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Jim) Coder of Ft. Collins CO, and her mother Delores Pletcher of Harrisburg OR; one sister, Jo Ellen Kille, of Eldred; a brother, Jerry (Sally) Coder of Bradford; one granddaughter, Catherine Danae Coder, and several grandsons, great grandsons, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, his companion Jeanetta McCalla, of 35 years, his step father Joseph DePaul, one nephew Ryan Kille, and his brother-in-law Dick Kille.
At the family's request there will be no visitation and services will be private. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
