To the Pomroy family, I am sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Pomroy well at BAHS. He garnered respect from students and kept learning tough but fun. He used to call me "runt." I remember that well and I remember he taught my brother and sister too a decade prior - probably used the same nickname for my sister perhaps. May you find comfort that he may be at peace and remembered by so many.

I had Mr. Pomroy for gym class my senior year, 1982-83. It just so happened to be the year I spent 7 months in a cast or splint with a broken left arm, the X-Rays of which made their way through all of the health classes with all of the plates and screws included. Since I was sidelined, Mr. Pomroy put me to work as his gopher / lackey/ messenger during gym periods. As it turned out, this skinny little runt got his first-ever A’s for Phys-Ed in Ed Pomroy’s gym class. I’ll never forget his compassion, kindness, or sense of humor. He will never be forgotten.
