David R. Mills, 77, of 5723 Church Street, Limestone, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, January 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at the Bradford Manor.
Born June 5, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, he was a son of Milton and Alberta (Davidhazey) Spittler. He was formerly married to Patsy Stevenson who survives, and to Sharon Jean (Willibey) Mills, who died, August 28, 2000.
Mr. Mills enlisted in the Unted States Air Force in 1956. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1976. He returned to the Limestone area and started his own business, Mills Disposal & Hauling.
He was a lifetime member of the Limestone American Legion Post #1560, a member of the Limestone Firemans Club and a member of the Bradvord Vets Club.
He was an avid football fan, loved watching NASCAR, going to races, and playing the Casino Slots. What he enjoyed the most, was spending time with loved ones.
He is survived by five children, two daughters, Sheree (Eugene) Dixion, of Limestone, Kim (Doug) Kosinski, of Limestone, three sons Cary D.(Darlene) Mills, of Limestone; Barry Mills, of Raleigh, NC, and Timothy Mills, of Raleigh, NC, two sisters, Gloria (Jim) Bolem, of Lancaster and Linda Zohner, of Jonestown, one brother, Curt (Peggy) Spittler of Limestone, a step sister, Jacquelyn Simmons, of Amherst, NY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
