Charles M. "Mike" Thomas, 73, of 256 High Street, Bradford, passed away, peacefully, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born April 22, 1943 in Kane he was a son of the late Charles H. and Ruth (Wallace) Thomas. He attended school in Kane.
He was formerly married to Rejane (Ducrot) Thomas and later to Anna Belle (Dietz) Thomas.
Mike enlisted in the United States Army on May 10, 1960. He was stationed at Brienne Le Chateau, France during Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged August 1, 1962.
Mike worked for Pennzoil, he later did construction work for the local Laborers Union. Prior to his retirement, he was a driver for W.G. Satterlee and Sons Inc.
He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War, the Eagles, and Italian Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Marie Thomas Taylor of Washington NC, and Nathalie Gordon of Raleigh NC, two sons, Fred Thomas of Murfreesboro TN and Charles "Mike Jr." (Holly) Thomas of Austin, five grandchildren, Zachary Thomas, Kaylee Thomas, Jack Gordon, Nathan Gordon and AJ Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, one sister Katherine Causer, two brothers, James Thomas and Kenneth Thomas.
Family will be receiving friends on Saturday January 21, 2017 from 10:00am to Noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave, at Noon funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, officiating. Immediatly following the funeral, at the funeral home, members of the American Legion Post 108 will accord Military Honors. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
