Julia M. "Jules" Petitt, 48, of 452 Lambert Drive, passed away, Monday, February 13, 2017, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born in West Palm Beach, FL, on January 22, 1969, she was a daughter of Robert C. Benson, of West Palm Beach and the late Joan M. (Hurd) Yaros.
On March 11, 1989 in the First United Methodist Church in Bradford, she married Bret Petitt, who survives.
Julie was a 1987 graduate of Bradford Area High School and was a member of the Bradford Owls Marching Band.
During high school she worked for Burger King and Carrols Corp., and then after high school she went into management training. She returned to manage the Bradford Burger King for 14 years. Julie had worked at Bradford Forest Products in the dimension mill department for a time. She moved on to the Bradford Era and worked in advertising for 13 years.
Julie enjoyed bowling, and bowled in a few mixed leagues.
In addition to her husband, father and his wife Patty Benson, she is survived by a son, Kyle Petitt, of Bradford, a sister, Cindy (Fabian) Rogalski, of Rochester, NY, and a brother, Robert C. (Cathy) Benson, Jr, of Bradford, one Aunt, Denise (John) Law, of New Jersey, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant son Russell Petitt.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where a memorial service will be held, at 11:00am with Rev. Stacey Fussell, Rector of the Church of the Ascension, officiating.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
