Joseph F. Cottillion

Joseph F. Cottillion, 56, of 2 South Ave. Bradford, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Olean General Hospital.

Born August 6, 1960, in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of Theodore Cottillion, of Allegany, NY and the late Victoria (Girard) Cottillion.

Mr. Cottillion was a 1978 graduate of Bradford Area High School. He attended OBI and the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus.

Joe had been employed at Evergreen Elm, Pinkerton Security, for Kendall Refining & Petro Wax in Farmers Valley, and a cashier at WalMart in Olean. The job he enjoyed the most was at St. Bernard Elementary School, working in the cafeteria with the students.

Joe loved animals and playing trivia games.

In addition to his father and step mother, Theodore (Janet) Cottillion, he is also survived by a sister, Jennifer McCullough, of Olean, one step brother Nicholas Cottillion of Allegany, five aunts, Loretta Sampson, Pat Girard, Terri (Ron) Orris, Gerry Cottillion, and Carol Close all of Bradford, and one uncle Joseph (Kathy) Girard of Rochester NY, and many cousins.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00am in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

Memorials if desired may be made to St. Bernard Elementary School.
