Gloria F. Pingie

Gloria F. Pingie, 83, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, of 25 J. F. Kennedy Drive, Lewis Run, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, peacefully, at her residence.

Born in Bradford, on July 21, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine Marie (Franco) Giordano.

Gloria attended Lewis Run schools and graduated from Bradford High School Class of 1951.

She was a lifetime member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church Lewis Run.

On August 26, 1955, in Lewis Run, she married Alfred N. Pingie who survives.

Mrs. Pingie had worked at Jose's Restaurant in Lewis Run for many years. She enjoyed going to bingo and the Casino. She loved to cook, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her husband, Al, of 61 years, she is survived by four daughters, Karen  Rounsville, of Lewis Run, Angela Pingie, of Bradford, Maria (Scott) Neely, of Lewis Run, and Jamie Woodel, of Bradford, two sons Mark (Vicky) Pingie, of Bradford, and  Michael (Ellen Evans) Pingie, of Lewis Run, a sister, Theresa (Richard) Ross, of Olean, and a brother, Joseph (Bev) Giordano, of Sheffield, 4 grandchildren, Gregory Gorrell, Jenna (Brian) Zetwick, Hannah Woodel and Zachary Woodel, 2 great grandchildren, Maisy Gorrell, and Gracelyn Zetwick, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, Angelo, Patsy, Anthony, Carmen, and Frank Giordano, 4 sisters, Ursula Yoke, Lucille Yocum, Anna Kightlinger and Clara Ross.

Family will be receiving friends at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from Noon to 1:00pm, at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev.  Dominic Monti, OFM, officiating. Entombment St. Bernard Mausoleum.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
