Marian B. Cousins

Marian B. Cousins, 94, a loving and caring mother and grandmother, formerly of 51 Jackson Ave., passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born February 2, 1923 in Genesee, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Zelma M. (Palmatier)  Burrell.

On September 14, 1946 in Pavilion, NY, she married James J. Cousins, Jr., who passed away November 10, 1998.

She was a 1941 graduate of Limestone High School. 

On August 12, 1943, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Communications Expert in Washington, D.C. during WWII.  She was honorably discharged December 9, 1945. 

She attended First Presbyterian Church and was a charter and 50+ year member of the Lydia Brand Chapter of Eastern Star.   

She enjoyed playing the piano, shopping, participating in family gatherings and will always be remembered for her witty sayings. 

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Ross) Neidich, Joette (Bill) Johnson and Robin (Greg) Pavone, of all of Bradford;  six grandchildren, Jim (Kristin) Ronan, Michael Edwards, Lindsay (Michael) Gianoutsos, Katie Neidich, Nikki Pavone and Megan Pavone and 4 great grandchildren Alexander Ronan, Jackson Ronan, Madison Ronan and Alexandria Edwards and a sister, Betty Campbell, of Henderson, KY.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Arthur. 

Friends are invited to call from 11 AM to 12 Noon, Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the First Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon with Rev. Robert Klouw, co-Pastor, officiating. Militar Honors will be accorded in the sanctuary after the service.  Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.  Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to The First Presbyterian Church, The McKean County SPCA, The Bradford Public Library  to the charity of the donor's choice.
