Armeda Ann Pantuso

Armeda Ann Pantuso, 85, formerly of 26 Langmaid Lane, Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born January 3, 1932, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Voil Dennis and Dora (Fletcher) Johnson.

Armeda was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School and attended the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1952. During her career she attended classes at Jamestown Community College and at the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus. She worked full-time as a nurse at the Bradford Hospital from 1952 to 1993 when she retired as the Nursing Supervisor.

On November 27, 1952, in our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, she married Vincent Joseph Pantuso, who died February 1, 2017.

She was a partner at GJP Advertising Associates an advertising specialty company serving corporate, business and individual customers in Western Pennsylvania and New York State, which was started by her husband Vincent in 1977.

Armeda was an active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Women's Club, the Bradford Current Events Club and was a member and past president of the Bradford Township Lioness Club.

Surviving is one daughter, Greta Petrilla, of Alexandria, VA, one son, Peter Pantuso, of Washington, DC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 6 siblings Boyd, Raymond, Lawrence Johnson , Vivian Ungamah, Maxine Thomas, and Grace Cobb.

Friends will be received on Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, Pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
