Mildred I. McClellan

Mildred I. Coffman McClellan, 94, formerly of Derrick City, passed away, Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born February 13, 1923, in Derrick City, she was a daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Maplestone) Gage.

On October 11, 1940, in Bradford she married Leslie Coffman who died August 2, 1971. Then on May 22, 1975, she married William McClellan of Tiona, who died November 10, 1993.

Mrs. McClellan attended Bradford Area Schools. She had been employed at Corning Glass for 17 years retiring in 1975.

Mildred enjoyed bowling, puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Sheffield Senior Center.

Surviving is a son, Philip (Jan) Coffman, of Bradford, two step-sons William McClellan, and James McClellan, both of Texas, a daughter-in-law Susan Coffman, of Olean, NY, five grandchildren, Chris (Tim) Krott, David (Amy) Coffman, Lori (Ed Hairston) Coffman, Michelle (Brian) Douthit and Jamie (Rock) Barton, 13 great-grandchildren, Bryan and Mark Beckwith, Jordan Lucas, Derrick, Madison, Jacob and Ryan Coffman, Allison and Nicholas York, Brianna and Anna Barton and Allison and Dustin Krott, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons Ronald Coffman, and Richard Coffman, a sister Shirley Lyle and two brothers, Carl Gage, and Gerald Gage.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 10:00am to 11:00 am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where a memorial service will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Dan LaPage, pastor of the Coleville Christian Gospel Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
