Joseph A. Hassek

Joseph A. Hassek, 63, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandpa, of Bradford, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Allegany General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, surrounded by his family.

Born April 5, 1954 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Joseph R. and Norma (Peters) Hassek.

Joe was a 1972 graduate of Bradford High School.

On December 23, 1980 in Smethport, he married Molly C. (Johnson) Hassek who survives.

Joe was formerly employed by Laborers Local Union #603. He was an avid outdoors man, who loved to hunt and ride his four wheeler.

Surviving in addition to his wife Molly of 36 years, are two daughters, Susan Hassek, and Shilah Hassek both, of Bradford, 5 grandchildren, Alexandria Hassek, Elijah Hassek, Becka Hassek, Edwin Hassek and Isaac Hassek, three sisters, Judy (Tony) Bennett, of OK; Janet (Joel) Greene, of Smethport; Jean (Richard) Pittman, of TX, one brother, Jack (Mary) Hassek, of SC, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Joe's request there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Memorials if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th St., Erie, PA  16508.
