Sally L. Cross

Sally L. Cross, 76, of 36 Cornen Street, Bradford, passed away, Thursday, September 21, 2017, at her residence. 

Born in Bradford, on February 3, 1941, she was a daughter of Harold and Isabelle (Eidson) Crandall. 

Sally was a 1959 graduate of Bradford High School and was an active member of the Bradford High School Alumni Association. 

Sally was employed as a Real Estate Agent for 40 years, retiring from Coldwell Banker Reality.

She was actively involved in Republican politics and the Moon Township Republican Committee having served as Republican Committee Women and Auditor. She was the Director of the Camp Owner’s Association for Susquehennock State Forest Area, and a member of the Aliquippa VFW Auxiliary.

Sally lived life to the fullest, she enjoyed going to garage sales, playing 500 with the ladies at the Senior Center, and volunteering at the Friendship Table.

Sally is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Erskine, of Bradford and Leslie Paige, of St. John, FL,  one son, Christopher Cross, of Leawood, KS, one sister, Barbara Thessen, of Salamanca, six grandchildren, Quenten Erskine, Kaela Newsom, Mariah Newsom, Allison Cross, Mackinley  Cross and Mackallister Cross,  one great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Cross, one son, Drake Cross, one sister, Mary Ann Johnson, and one brother, Fred Crandall.

Family will be receiving family and friends on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00am in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Bruce Ireland, of the Country Chapel Baptist Church officiating. Committal and burial will follow in McKean Memorial Park.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sally’s favorite charity, Brother’s Brother Foundation, 1200 Galveston Ave, Pittsburgh, PA  15233.
