Marie E. Coronati, 101, of Greensburg, formerly of 19 Roberts Street, Bradford, passed away, Friday, October 20, 2017, while in the company of family members, at Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Greensburg.
Born January 18, 1916, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Piscitelli) Pascale.
On June 8, 1936, in St. Bernard Church, she married Adelio J. Coronati Sr., who passed away December 21, 1985.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church, and Church of St. Paul in Greensburg.
Marie was actively involved with the Italian Festival in Bradford. She enjoyed the camaraderie of baking cookies, frying dough and seeing family and friends. Her house was always opened to family, friends and visitors alike. You could never surprise her with extra guests for dinner as her pantry was always fully stocked. Marie could whip up a meal in no time. She would be offended if you did not eat or drink something at her home. She made everyone feel welcome.
She had worked at Brown’s Boot Shop and Jarret’s Machine Shop.
Surviving is one son, J. Richard (Patricia) Coronati of Lehigh Acres, FL; one daughter, Loretta A. (James) Bushey of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, Anthony Coronati, James (Kim) Coronati, Theresa Coronati, John (Jane) Coronati, Richard (Staci) Coronati, Joseph (Kim) Coronati, Cheryl (David) Bengel, Donald (Debra) Bushey and Craig (Heather) Bushey; 16 great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son Adelio "Sonny" Coronati Jr on November 12, 1999; one granddaughter in law, Diane Westlake Coronati; one brother, Louis ‘Red’ Pascale and two sisters, Josephine Campogiani and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Auteri.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 -5pm & 7-9 PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 9:30am Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
