Emma F. Schoonover

Emma F. Schoonover, 90, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, of Gifford, formerly of 850 South Avenue, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1927 in Woodhull, NY she was a daughter of the late Richard and Carrie (Moyer) Aldrich.

Emma was the widow of LeRoy Schoonover who died July 26, 1981.

She worked at Corning Glass, and for many years as a cook at the DeSoto Restaurant.

Surviving are three daughters, Sharon (the late Rodney) South, of Bradford, Debbie (the late William) Kline, of Bradford, Shirley (Tom) Sink, of Gifford, five sons Eddie (Norma) Reed, of Woodhull NY, Keith Reed, of Bradford, Del (Peggy) Schoonover, of Bradford, David (Marjorie) Schoonover, of Scranton, and LeRoy (Paula) Schooonover Jr., of Eldred, one sister, Doris Stacum, of Hornell NY, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Audrey Kline, two grandchildren, Jessica Kinner and April Stull, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday December 27, 2017, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., at 7:00pm funeral services will be held with the Rev. Matt Blake, Pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
