Jessica A. Abplanalp, 42, of 30 Pike Street, Bradford, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday December 22, 2017, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Olean, NY on March 6, 1975, she was a daughter of Donna L. (Grover) Ekas, of Bradford, and the late Robert S. Kemick.
She was a 1993 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and from BOCES with a degree in nursing.
Jessica worked as a heath care worker in Kane, at a rehabilitation facility in Erie and later at Beacon Light in Bradford.
Jessica attended the Open Arms Church, enjoyed going to the beach, camping, fishing, singing and helping others. She was an avid reader, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her mother Donna, is one daughter, Erin M. Kemick, one son, Ethan K. Rodgers, both of Bradford, her step father Patrick M. Ekas, her maternal grandmother Ethelyn J. Mayer, three sisters, Jenette (Dakota) Kemick- Lundgren of Bradford, Carrie M. (Steven) Barber, of Port Allegany, and Sarah Kemick of Jessup, one brother James Kemick of Bradford, two grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband Timothy W. Abplanalp.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 11:00am to Noon at the Open Arms Church, at Noon funeral services will be held with Rev. Mike McAvoy, pastor, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
