David J. Shumway, 67, of 18 Hobson Place, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born January 16, 1950 in Corning, NY, he was the son of Lee and Frances (Bout) Shumway-Ellwood. 

He married Sharon (Pond) Shumway, who survives. 

He worked locally as an optician for Morgan Optical. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, two sisters and his former wife. 

There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced.
