Phyllis Jean Erwin

Phyllis Jean Erwin, 83, of 2179 W Washington St., Bradford, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at Bradford Manor.

Born October 21, 1934 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Josephine (West) Covert.

She was a 1952 graduate of Bradford High School.

On June 19, 1954, in Asbury United Methodist Church, she married William Edward Erwin who survives.

She had attended Asbury United Methodist Church, the Greater Bradford Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving in addition to her husband Bill of 63 years are two sons, James (Suzanne) Erwin, of Bradford, and  Jerry Erwin of Bradford, one sister, June Giles of Bradford, one brother, Jack "Mike" Covert of Bradford, 2 grandchildren, Crystal (Aaron) Lundy, of Gainesville NY, and Daniel (Sarah Ridenour) Erwin of Bradford,  two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of family with Rev. Robert Brest, Pastor of the First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes. Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Greater Bradford Senior Center.
