Judith Judy Mongillo

Judith A. "Judy" Mongillo, 78, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, of 70 Cornen Street, Bradford, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, while in the company of family members at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born, August 16, 1939 in Emporium, she was a daughter of the late John and Miriam (Cooper) McManigle.

Judy was a 1957 graduate of Emporium High School, and attended Business School in Maryland.

On March 17, 1962 in St. Bernard Church, she married, Ralph F. Mongillo Sr. who died July 28, 2014.

She was employed at Forest Oil Company, Dresser Manufacturing from 1975 to 1992, and retired from Case Cutlery.

Judy was a member of St. Bernard Church, Catholic Women's Club, and the 50 Plus Group. She enjoyed baking and most especially spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are three children, a daughter, Gianna "Gigi" (Jim) Carroll, of Bradford, two sons, Ralph (Melinda Faison) Mongillo Jr., of Jacksonville, FL and Robert "Bob" Mongillo, of Bradford, two grandchildren, Angela Carroll and Andrew Carroll, three sisters Jean Dunkleberger of Emporium, Virginia "Ginny" (Larry) Pope of Laurenceville GA, and Phyllis Sullivan of Emporium, one sister-in-law, Maria (Jim Williams) Mongillo of Bradford, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Elayne Burfield Fragale, and Maxine George, two brothers John "Mickey" McManigle and David "Bugsy" McManigle.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 2 to 4pm & 6 to 8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc, 372. East Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
