Gloria L. Frederick

Gloria L. Frederick, 87, formerly of 14 Brook St., passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born March 24, 1930 in Limestone, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Ocie (Vargeson) Heimbach. She was a 1947 graduate of Limestone High School and Valedictorian of her class.

On June 18, 1949 in Limestone United Methodist Church, she married Thomas E.  Frederick, Sr., who survives. 

Gloria had been employed at Zippo Manufacturing and was the first receptionist / switchboard operator and the "Voice of Zippo" from 1966, until her retirement in 1989. 

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, and enjoyed attending the Golden Chariot Banquets for several years.

Gloria enjoyed knitting, sewing, crossword puzzles, and camping. 

In addition to her husband Tom of 68 years, she is survived by one son, Thomas (Sheri) Frederick, Jr., of Bradford and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Jim, Lewis and Loren Heimbach and her three sisters, Loretta Garrett, Nina Shook and Grace Heimbach. 

At Gloria's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the McKean County SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice.
