Julia E. Cochran Satterlee

Julia E. Cochran Satterlee, 94, formerly of Limestone, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born July 9, 1923 in Austin, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Watkins) Bhythe.

In 1939 she married Meade Cochran, who died in 1970, and then in 1971 she married Alver Satterlee who died in 1994.

Julia was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star.

She had been employed at Corning Glass Works for many years and retired in 1988.

Surviving are four daughters, Rose Tanner, Sally Cochran, Sue Grimm, and Darlene Pruyn, one  son, James  S. Cochran, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, two step daughters, Bonnie Lowe and Carol Warner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one sister, Sarah Seagren, one brother, Walter Blythe, Jr., two granddaughters, Gretchen Grimm and Tammy Steffer, and one great grandson, Joshua Erich.

At Julia's request there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held for family members only with the Rev. Lawrence White, associate pastor of the Community Full Gospel Church in Limestone officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
