Richard Lee Glass

Richard Lee Glass, 85, of 95 Vernon Lane Bradford, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at his daughter's residence.

Born April 29, 1932 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Wallace H. and Carrie (Edwards) Glass.

He attended Bradford High School.

Rick was employed at Bovaird & Seyfang until the company closed in the 1970's, he relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida, and worked as a body shop repairman and tow truck driver at Bill Smith's Body Shop, and delivery driver for Scotty's Home Improvement.  He returned to Bradford in 2017 to reside with his daughter.

Rick enjoyed building small model airplanes which the neighborhood kids enjoyed watching him fly. Rick had a soft spot in his heart for animals and would tell stories about "Ted" his boyhood horse.

He attended the West Branch United Methodist Church, and was a former member of Masonic Union Lodge 749 F&AM in Bradford and a 25 year member of the Grand Lodge of Florida #115, in Punta Gorda, FL.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (the late David) Kloss, of Bradford, and Susan (Ronald) Trace, of Atwater, OH, two  grandchildren, Steven (Katherine) Kloss and Andrew (Lesa Dever) Kloss, and one great granddaughter Madeline Grace Kloss.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, three wives Jean Miller Glass, Daire Hurley Glass, and Billie Patrick-Glass, who died March 28, 2018, two sisters Margaret Beckelheimer and Virginia Brown, and one brother James Glass.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Willow Dale Cemetery, with Rev. Matt Blake, Pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the West Branch United Methodist Church or the SPCA.
