Richard L. Whiteman

Richard L. Whiteman, 61, of 493 Harrisburg Run Bradford, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence.

Born March 5, 1957 in Olean, NY, he was the of the late Malcom T. and Angelina (Barrile) Whiteman.

He graduated from Limestone High School in 1975. On June 22, 1975 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorable discharged on July 21, 1979.

Richard was employed at Zippo as a machine operator for 35 years. He was a member of the Italian Club, Eagles Club, Limestone Fireman's Club, Limestone VFW, and was a Limestone Volunteer Fireman for many years.

Surviving are three sons, Justin (Lacey) Whiteman, of Bradford, Allen (Bryn) Whiteman, of Bradford, and Daniel (Dani) Whiteman, of Rumsten Air Force Base Germany, four brothers, Thomas (Susan) Whiteman, of Goldsboro, NC Robert (Karen) Whiteman, of Great Valley, NY, Charles Whiteman, of Limestone, and Michael Whiteman, of Florida, and three grandchildren.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday June 22, 2018, from Noon to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 372 East Main Street, at 1:00pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Following the funeral Military Honors and burial will be accorded by the members of the United States Air Force and the Honor Guard of the Limestone American Legion Post 1560 in St. Patrick Cemetery in Limestone.
