April C. Lang

April C. Lang, 61, of Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at The Pavilion at BRMC, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 30, 1957 in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Alberta (Junker) Corbin. She was a 1975 graduate of Belmont High School, and was the class valedictorian.  She then graduated from Alfred State College in 1977 with an Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

On September 20, 1980 in St. Gabriel Church in Port Allegany, she married Charles G. Lang, who survives.   

She was the lab director at the Port Allegany Community Hospital for nine years, and later became the director at Microbac Laboratories in Bradford.  She also worked as office manager at Lang Surveying for 15 years, and most recently was a laboratory technologist with the Olean Medical Group.

She was an active member of the Penn-York Oil & Gas Affiliates of the Association of Desk & Derrick Clubs since 1995, where she held the positions of Club President in 2011 and 2017 and Region I Director in 2014.  She was also an active member of the Saint Francis Rosary Altar Society.  She was an avid gardener, home decorator, organizer, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandsons.  

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Sarah (Paul) Pochak, of Somers, MT, and Daniel (Stephanie) Lang, of Bradford, PA; four grandsons: Dean and Jacob Pochak, and Mason and Hudson Lang, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

Friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home on 372 East Main Street in Bradford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Con-celebrated Thursday, July 26 at 11:00 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, and Rev. Leo Gallina.

Memorials if desired may be made to the Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford.

Chuck and family - our hearts are heavy to hear the sad news about April. She was so unique in many ways but mostly she loved and cared about people and she enjoyed being around people and learning what she could about them.
