Thomas E. Frederick Sr.

Thomas E. Frederick, Sr., 94, of 100 St. Francis Bradford, formerly of 14 Brook Street, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, peacefully, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born in Limestone, NY on January 10, 1924, he was a son of the late Charles Thomas and Edna Viola (Brown) Frederick.

On June 18, 1949 he married Gloria (Heimbach) Frederick who passed away February 19, 2018.

Mr. Frederick was a 1941 graduate of Limestone High School. On February 17, 1943 he enlisted in the US Army Air Force, served during WW II and was honorably discharged January 18, 1946.

Returning home from the service he worked as a milkman for the O'Mara Dairy. On October 22, 1954 he started his employment with Zippo Manufacturing Company and retired 35 years later as the manager of Human Resource Department.

Tom was a member of the Masonic Union Lodge #749 F&AM, Zem Zem Temple, Royal Order of the Jester's, McKean County Shrine Club, Coudersport Consistory, and a member of the Limestone American Legion. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish.

Thomas is survived by a son, Thomas E. (Sheri) Frederick, Jr., of Bradford, four sisters, Bonnie Rose, of Ft. Myers, FL, Joyce Berthelsen, of Quincy, Mass, Marion Battles, of Simi Valley, CA, Ernestine Woods, of Limestone, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 4 brothers, Kenneth, John, Leonard and David.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
