Charles R. McGuire

Charles R. McGuire, 71, of 277 East Main St. Bradford, formerly of San Jose, CA, passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born August 29, 1947 in Bradford, he was a son of the late James R. and Agnes J. (Ralston) McGuire.

Charles was a 1965 graduate of Bradford High School.

On April 21,1966 he enlisted in the United States Navy, served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on April 10, 1970.

He returned home from the service and began working for Zippo. He moved to California, worked for Apple Inc., then later at Trader Joe's for 25 years and retired. He returned to Bradford in 2012, and worked for Crosby Mini Marts.

He enjoyed playing golf and bowling, He was a member of Pine Acres. He enjoyed playing, and teaching music, especially the Blues.

Surviving is one sister, Andrea McGuire of Pen Argyl, and one brother, Timothy (Cindy) McGuire, of Bradford, his companion Maggi Morgan, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday December 8, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Bradford Lions Club on Irving Lane.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
