Phyllis J. Lindquist

Phyllis J. Lindquist, 82, of 775 South Ave., Bradford, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 6, 1936 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late William "Red" and Genevieve (Palmiter) Whelan. She was a 1954 graduate of Bradford High School.

Phyllis was employed at Bradford National Bank as a teller, then later for 15 years at J.C. Penney Department Store.

On June 8, 1957 in Bradford, she married John E. Lindquist who died March 9, 2016.

She enjoyed sewing, shopping but most especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Andrea (Harry Minich) Harpster and Robin (Wally Green) Legawiec, all of Bradford, two sons, Douglas Lindquist, of Bradford, and Dan (Lori) Lindquist, of Orrstown, eight grandchildren, Angela Taylor, Joel Legawiec, Kristin Brady, Tiffany Lindquist, Nathan Harpster, John Lindquist, Amanda Harpster, and Becky Lindquist, eight great grandchildren, Genna Legawiec, Cael Legawiec, Kayla Taylor, Annabel Taylor, Kyla Brady, Karter Holly, and twins Madix and Malyk Harpster, Sara Brady, and Madilynn Sisler, one brother, Jim (Ruth) Wagner, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great grandson Leroy Brady.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, at 1:00pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Robert Brest, Pastor of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
