Richard J. Fishkin

Richard J. "Dick" Fishkin, 82, of Bradford, formerly of of Orchard Place, passed away, Saturday, January 5,2019 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born January 16, 1936 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Abraham and Katherine (Friedman) Fishkin.

Dick was a graduate of Bradford High School and attended St. Bonaventure University where he played Division I basketball.

Mr. Fishkin was formerly married to J. Joanne (DeMuro) Fishkin who survives.

He was a lifetime member of the Temple Beth El, a member of the Bradford Lions Club, and he volunteered at the Salvation Army Kettle Drive. He was an advocate for animals and supported the SPCA.

Dick was a salesman and supplied uniforms for the ROTC college students throughout the Northeast United States.

Surviving is one daughter, Amy (Scott) Goodman, of Dillsburg, one son, David (Janice Hulings) Fishkin, of Mt. Jewett, two grandchildren, Eric Fishkin, and Meghan Goodman, one sister, Charlene Green, of FL, one sister-in-law Alice Fishkin, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jack Fishkin, Maurice Fishkin and Jerome Fishkin, two sisters Vera Shear and Florence Neu.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday January 9, 2019, from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Avenue, at 11:00am funeral services will be held with Kim Weinberg, of the Temple Beth El officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA.
