Richard A. Johnson

Richard A. Johnson, 79, of 303 North Elk Avenue, Kane, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Bradford Regional Medical Center. 

Born November 24, 1939 in Kane, he was a son of the late Alvin and Anna (Swedenhjelm) Johnson.

Dick was a 1957 graduate of Kane High School. After graduation he worked for the FBI for several years. 

On November 15, 1962 he enlisted in the United States Army. He served as a Russian translator and was honorably discharged on October 27, 1965. 

After the service he worked for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation and later the Hamlin Bank and Trust in the Kane Office. 

Surviving is one sister, Marjorie A. Manfredo, of Lewes, DE, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Johnson and Ronald Johnson

At Richard's request there will be no public services observed. Full Military Honors will be accorded in McKean Memorial Park at a later time for family to attend.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
