Marilyn W. Hollenbeck

Marilyn Hollenbeck, 89, of Thomas Road, Bradford, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her residence.

Born March 15, 1931 in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Harriett J. (Crosson) Watterson.

Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School.

On October 3, 1953 in St Bernard Church, she married Gale F. Hollenbeck, who preceded her in death on October 19th, 2006.

Marilyn worked along side her husband, together they owned and operated Hollenbeck Funeral Chapel for over 35 years.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church, an avid bowler and founding member of the Koffee Kup League. She also played bridge with several local bridge groups. She loved to spend time with family but most especially enjoyed watching, and participating in her grandchildren's growth and development. She was proud to share her birthday with her oldest grandchild.

Marilyn is survived by one son, Mark J. (Donna) Hollenbeck, of Bradford, four grandchildren, Meghan Hollenbeck, of Bradford, Danielle Hollenbeck DVM, of College Station TX, Paige Hollenbeck, of Bradford and Patrick Hollenbeck, of Bradford, one sister, Nancy Stewart, of Mesa AZ, one brother, William Watterson, of Mesa AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Michael S. Hollenbeck who died January 7, 1978.

Private services for family only will be held in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, 33 South Avenue, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, Pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
