Thomas W. Hart

Thomas W. Hart, 81, of 63 Patterson Lane, Bradford, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Sterling Run, on May 23, 1939, a son of the late Thomas L. and Augusta (Connor) Hart. He attended Sterling Run school and returned every year for their reunions.

On February 23, 1957 in the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, he married Patricia A. (Gill) Hart who survives. 

He was employed at the Emery Hotel as a busboy, later in Maryland where he built ships for the Federal government. He returned to Bradford and worked 37 years at Case Cutlery. While employed he was a member of the the Machinists Union Local. 

He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, where he served as usher. He was a devoted follower and he loved Jesus. 

Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his son Randy. He was an avid sports fan, he loved following his beloved Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, Penn State and Notre Dame football, NASCAR especially Richard Petty and later Rusty Wallace. He enjoyed nature and all living creatures. He loved to feed his birds at numerous feeders, spending time with his late dog Buddy. He was always giving of himself, often opening his home to total strangers who needed shelter. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife Patricia of 63 years, one daughter, Rev. Terri (Kevin) Niver, of Bradford, two sons William Hart, of Indianapolis IN, and  Randy (Camie) Hart, of Bryan OH, three sisters, Evie Byerly, of Bradford, Connie (Lee) Baker, of Ashtabula OH, and Jenny (Jerry) Kellogg of Olean NY, one brother, Sam Hart, of Turtlepoint, five grandchildren, Bryant Crocker, Kammie Cucuzza, Chad Niver, Robert Hart, Jason Hart, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and one granddaughter, Kristy Ann Niver.

Friends will be received on Thursday January 28, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am in the First Wesleyan Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am with Pastor Terri Niver, and Rev. Rob Jeffrey, Pastor of the Bradford Alliance Church Co-officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to First Wesleyan Church 692 South Kendall Ave. Bradford, PA 16701 or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
