Lois C. Bell

Lois C.Bell, 93, of Valleybrook Drive, Bradford, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021, at her residence.

Lois was born in East Liverpool OH on February 16, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Clara (Dotson) Crawford. She was a 1944 graduate of Bradford High School.

On May 16, 1959 in the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, she married Clyde E. Bell who preceded her in death on April 13, 2015. 

She was a 60 year member of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, a life member and past president of Phi Beta, member and past treasurer of the Bradford Alumni Association, treasurer for the Class of 1944. She was a member of BACPAC, Bradford Bowling Association, the Bradford Ecumenical Home Auxiliary, and the YWCA. In her free time, she loved to garden with her flowers, sew, cook, and quilt. 

Lois worked at Bradford National Bank and retired from First Laurel Bank in 1974. She along with Clyde moved to Waterbury CT, and together managed the Hillcrest Apartments.

Surviving are two nephews, Michael Crawford, and Bruce Flanders, one niece Lou Pezzano, great nieces and nephews, including, Monica Crawford and Nicole Crawford. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde of 55 years, two sisters, Frances Andric, and Marion Flanders, two brothers, Fred Crawford, and Everett Wendall Crawford, two nephews, Paul Flanders, and Mark Crawford.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 6:00pm on Tuesday February 23, 2021, in the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jay Tennies, Pastor officiating. A live stream of the service will start shortly before 6:00pm on the Facebook page of Hill Memorial United Methodist for anyone wishing to view the service remotely.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park on Saturday October 16, 2021, at 11:00AM.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
