Barbara Ann Rankin

Barbara Ann Rankin, 79 of 680 Fulton St. Smethport, passed away, February 16, 2021, at Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center. 

Born on February 28, 1941, in East Smethport, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Ida Bella (Prime) Reed.

She had attended Smethport schools.

On June 2, 1958, in Phoenix, AZ, she married Ernest E Rankin who preceded her in death on September 23, 2013. 

She was employed at Backus Company for seven years and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Smethport.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest (Diana) E. Rankin Jr., of Mt. Jewett, and Roger W. Rankin, of Smethport, two grandchildren, Jason Eugene Rankin and Jessica Ann Rankin,  four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and four sisters.

There will be no public services. Private funeral services will be held with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
