John E. "Jack" Yohe

John E. "Jack" Yohe, 86, of 3286 West Washington St., Willow Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home surrounded by his family. 

Born February 8, 1935 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Mervin and Mary (Quinn) Yohe.

Jack attended Bradford Area Schools  and went to work after completing the eleventh grade.

On May 8, 1954 in St. Bernard Church, he married Shirley Jean (Fields) Yohe, who preceded him in death on August, 12, 2008.

Jack worked as a sheet metal worker with Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #12 out of Pittsburgh. He worked for Clyde Cleveland Metal Works and Kessel Construction. He also owned and operated Jacks Saw Shop in Willow Creek for many years.

Jack was a Honorary Lifetime member of the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed bowling in the Men's League, and bowling in the Couples League with his late wife Shirley. He was known throughout the Corydon Valley for his pies.

He enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, and his extended family.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra (John) Eschrich, of Lewis Run, and Grace (Timothy) Cobb, of Bradford, two sons, Jeff (Laura) Yohe of, Murfreesboro, TN, and Thomas (Amy) Yohe, of Bradford, nine grandchildren, Tiffany Kiser, Matthew (Robin) Ridenour, Tate Yohe, Sarah (Daniel) Erwin, Josh (Melinda) Yohe, Andrea Yohe, Gabrielle Cobb, James Yohe, and Parker Yohe, three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jocelyn and Teijan, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley of 54 years, an infant son, Timothy Yohe, four brothers, Clair Yohe, Robert Yohe, Gerald Yohe, and Thomas Yohe, and three sisters, Mary Ann Maley, Myra Peterson and Marie Speedy.

Family will receive friends on Friday April 16, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 372 East Main St., and again on Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata Pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
