Janet L. Daniels

Janet Louise Daniels, 74, passed away at her residence on Monday, April, 26, 2021.

Born on January, 13, 1947, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Pauline G. (Gallup) Redington. She was a graduate of Bradford High School class of 1964.

Janet worked for the local supermarkets for several years and then worked for J.C.C. in Olean as a custodian till she retired in 2014. 

She was a member of the Limestone Women's Auxiliary and the Allegany American Legion. Janet enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing solitaire, and loved the company of her two cats, PeeWee and Big Boy.

Janet is survived by her brother Larry ( Barbara) Redington, four nieces Linda DuBois, of Limestone, Karen Woodhouse, of Limestone,  Larissa Gagliardi, of Moscow, Lauren Kegerries, of Shippensburg, one nephew Steven Sherk, Sr., of Bradford, 10 great nieces and nephews, seven great great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Hope, another sister Katherine Sherk, and a niece Valerie Redington.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., Bradford, with a funeral service to follow. Her Nephew, Steven Sherk, a lay minister of the West Branch United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Burial will take place in the Limestone Cemetery.
