Donald R. Ruttan

Donald R. Ruttan, 61, of Bradford, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 15, 1960, in Olean, he was a son of the late Wiliam D. and Virginia (Hale) Ruttan.

Don attended Bradford Area Schools. He was a talented cook and carpenter. He cooked at Ross's Inn in Lewis Run, and the DeSoto Holiday House. He also had been employed as a carpenter for Gil Bane Construction Company and Daniels Construction.

He was a member of the Marche Club, Italian Club, and the Eagles and the Bradford Moose Lodge. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and digging Leeks. He was an avid New York Jets fan, and most of all he loved cooking for family and friends.

Surviving is his partner, Robin Pender, one brother, Thomas Ruttan (Tammy Wilton, sister-in-law), and one sister, Billie Jo Ruttan, all of Bradford, three nieces, Shannon Medlin, Hannah Ruttan, and Sierra Kirtz, one nephew Dana Lafferty, one aunt, Phyllis Ross, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bill Ruttan, and one sister Jean Ruttan.

Private services will be held for family members at McKean Memorial Park.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
