R. Leilani Fesenmyer, 81, of Bradford, passed away Sunday, December 19, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born February 13, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie (Dennis) Putnam.
On December 14, 1988, in the Episcopal Church of the Ascension she married Frederick Fesenmyer Jr. who survives.
She was a 1958 graduate of Perry High School. She moved to Bradford after graduation and began working at Zippo Manufacturing as a commercial artist. In 1988 she began employment for the Bradford Area School District as a special education teacher. She retired in 2008.
Loni was a member of Women's Investment Club in Bradford, the Bradford Club and the Pennhills Club where she enjoyed playing in the Women's League and golfing with her husband. They also enjoyed skiing at Holiday Valley. Loni and Fred traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, the Hawaiian Islands, and their last trip was a cruise to Alaska.
Surviving is her husband Fred of 33 years, two sons, Mike (Harriet) Irons, of Bradford, Mark (Kelly Ripple) Irons, of Cuba, NY, two stepsons, Rick (Ann) Fesenmyer, of Lancaster, and Christopher (Renee) Fesenmyer of Flat Rock MI, one daughter Meredith Fesenmyer, of Bradford, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Jill (the late Hank) Huston, and Marjorie (Richard) Murray, both of Pittsburgh, two brothers, Jim (Peggy) Putnam, of Castle Rock CO, and Dan (Kathy) Putnam, of OR, and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be observed for family members in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. Entombment will be in the Fesenmyer Family Mausoleum in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Care for Children, of a charity of the donor's choice.
