Wilma M. Maben Wilma M. Maben, 86, of 140 West Corydon Street, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her daughter Cindy's home in Stanardsville, VA.
Born December 20, 1935, in Limon CO, she was a daughter of the late Russell J. and Evelyn M. (Johnson) Harmon. She was a 1953 graduate of Limon High School.
On May 23, 1955, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on May 2, 1957.
On February 23, 1957, at Barksdale Air Force Base, in Louisiana she married Donald M. Maben, who preceded her in death on August 18, 1994.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and formally on the Pastor Parish Relations committee, United Methodist Women both locally and the Kane District. Also an auxiliary member of the VFW Post 212.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth (James) Eck, of Bradford, and Cynthia (Ernest) Inzana Jr., of Stanardsville, VA, two sons, Donald H. (Tammy) Maben,
of Washougal, WA, and Lawrence (Pattie) Maben, of Limestone, NY, one
brother, Herbert Harmon, of Joliet, IL, 11 grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren plus two on the way, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald of 37 years, two
brothers, William Harmon, and Francis Harmon, one sister, Doris Mauseth
and grandson Donald Joseph Maben.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 10 am to 11am in the First United Methodist Church, at 11 am funeral services will be held with Rev. Rick Nelson, Pastor, officiating. Committal services and Full Military Honors by members of the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 108, will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
