Grace E. Dolan
Grace E. Dolan, 87 of 42 Paul's Lane, Bradford, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at her residence.
Born August 1, 1934 in St. Marys she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Hilda (McDonald) Garry. She was a 1952 graduate of Johnsonburg High School.
On June 24, 1961, in Johnsonburg, she married Alton K. "Tony" Dolan, who preceded her in death on September 16, 1992.
Grace was formerly employed as an EKG technician at Bradford Hospital, and for many years co-owned Ott & McHenry Pharmacy first with her husband Tony, and after his death with two of her children, Mike and Betsy. She was currently CEO. She truly enjoyed being a grandmother and they were her world.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church, the Italian Club, and Pennhills Club. She enjoyed completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, she and her husband Tony were instrumental in starting the American Cancer Society, Ski for Cancer Event 42 years ago.
Surviving in addition to her longtime companion, Charles "Chuck" Cummings, two sons Mike (Anita) Dolan of Bradford and Brian (Renee) Dolan of York, three daughters, Carol Polaski, Betsy (Dave) Eschrich and Alice Dolan all of Bradford, one sister, Frances Hamric of Huntington Beach, CA, five grandchildren, Kayelyn Eschrich, Tomi Dolan, Brady Dolan, Regan Dolan and Andrew Dexter, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, one brother Robert Garry, two sisters, Shirly Czekai and infant sister Carol.
Family will receive friends on Friday December 31, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue and again on Saturday January 1, 2022 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am in St. Bernard Church, at 11 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Father Ray Gramata. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ski for Cancer Event.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
