Ray E. "Butch" McCune Jr., 81, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his residence with family at his side.

Born September 13, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Ray E. and Stella (Strait) McCune, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Bradford High School

On September 21, 1975 in the Bolivar Drive Baptist Church, he married Berniece A. (Benson) McCune who preceded him in death on February 13, 2021.

Ray was employed at Osram Sylvania in Warren as a tool maker for over 30 years. 

Ray was an avid golfer, golfing in league play as well as at the Conewango Valley Country Club and Blueberry Hill Golf Club. Butch enjoyed hunting, and most especially he enjoyed short travels with his wife to shop and dine out. 

Surviving are two sons, David (Holly) McCune, of Bilioxi, MS, Randy (Maria) Shine, of Bradford, two daughters, Rhonda (Michael) McGuire, of FL, and Kim (Mike) Eger, of Bradford, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Jim McCune and Bill McCune.

There will be no public services. Private services will be held at St. Bernard Mausoleum.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
