Tammy S. Pattison

Tammy S. Pattison, 52, of 20 JT Lane, Bradford, PA passed away Friday morning July 1st, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 20, 1969, in Bradford, Tammy was the only child of the late Donald and Donna (Bridge) Bullock. She was a 1987 graduate from Bradford Area High School and a 1990 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford earning her degree in nursing.

On September 3, 1994, in Bradford, she married Jerry Pattison who survives. Together, they shared 30 years of love, laughter, and happiness. Tammy began her career as a registered nurse at Bradford Hospital in 1990. She continued there as an OB nurse where she had a hand in delivering many of the children in the area over the next 20 years. After the unfortunate merger of Bradford and Olean hospitals and the closing of the OB department in Bradford, Tammy ventured to a new career as a traveling nurse with Trusted Nurse Staffing, LLC, where she worked as a labor and delivery nurse through her battle with cancer until May of 2022 when her illness forced her to stop doing what she loved.

In addition to her husband Jerry of 27 years, she is survived by two daughters, Marissa (John) Golden of Bradford and Brianna (Kyle) Phelps of Phoenix AZ, one son Donny Pattison of Bradford, and one grandson Jude Golden. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins including Todd (Sharon) Bridge of Bradford.

Her greatest joy was watching her children partake in music, dance, and football. One of her greatest treasures in life was being a Gigi to her grandson Jude. Tammy loved being with her family, work family, friends, and dogs, CC and Brynlee. Her time was best spent outside laying in the sun, swimming in the pool, and sitting around the fire. She loved flowers, especially sunflowers and her hanging baskets. She will be fondly remembered as a kind and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse.

Family will receive friends on Friday July 8, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Avenue.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the March of Dimes, or the SPCA, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

I will always remember Tammy as one of my go to nurses on labor and delivery. Never an unkind word, always a calm demeanor, a compassionate face and personality. Never flustered in the face of stress. Bearing her own medical diagnosis with equanimity. I cried inside when I first had heard of her medical condition and I cried aloud seeing the notice on Saturday last of her passing so young. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
