Joel G. Campbell

Joel G. Campbell, 82, of 133 Fullerton Road, Derrick City, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his family. 

Born December 24, 1939, in Olean, he was a son of the late Lawrence "Garney" and Marian (Tuttle) Campbell. He was a member of the Bradford High School Class of 1959.

On July 2, 1963, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on July 1, 1965. 

On  August 15, 1970, in Derrick City, he married Joyce Dione (Vaughn) Campbell who preceded him in death on January 12, 2002.

Joel was employed at Kendall Refining Company, Witco, and American Refining Group for 53 years. 

He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Limestone Fireman's Club. 

Surviving are two step daughters, Sandra (Bill) Orris of Marshburg, and Peggy (Steve) Kamm of Okmulgee OK, two step sons, Duane Goodsell of New Stanton, and Jeff Goodsell, of Virginia Beach VA,  seven grandchildren, Caroline, Grace, Duane, Amanda, Brandi, Matthew, Jessica, 11 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, two brothers, Bruce Campbell, of Carrollton OH, and Randy Campbell, of Derrick CIty, one brother-in-law, Al Mack Van Orden Jr. of Derrick City.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dione Campbell, two sisters, Janet Hanson and Diana Van Orden, and one brother-in-law Jim Hanson.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday August 13, 2022, from Noon to 3:00pm at the Model T Restaurant.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a the SPCA, or the American Cancer Society.
