John W. Hoffman

John W. Hoffman, 69, of 112 Hill Street, Smethport, passed away Friday,
July 15, 2022, at Sweden Valley Manor, in Coudersport.

Born in Woodbury Township, on August 28, 1952, he was a son of the late
Eugene W. and Betty A. (Swaney) Hoffman. He was a 1970 graduate of
Martinsburg High School.

On May 24, 1971 in Martinsburg he married Brenda Kay (Shindledecker)
Hoffman who survives.

John was employed as a truck driver for E.F. Smith In Roaring Spring.
Later he moved to Bradford and worked as a truck driver for South Penn
Service hauling gas. He also worked as a truck driver for the City of
Bradford Transfer Station and retired from the City of Bradford as a driver
and mechanic.

He was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church and The Smethport
Volunteer Fire Department where he served with the Fire Police. He was
an avid outdoorsman who hunted and fished. His greatest joy was working
in his garage, fixing and fabricating things for anyone who pulled in the
driveway.

Surviving in addition to his wife Brenda, is one daughter, Penny (Larry)
Cliber, of Smethport, and one son, John A. (Kate) Hoffman, of Edmond OK,
and five grandchildren, Zoey Hoffman, Jhon (Kiley) Hoffman, Zachariah
Hoffman, Emma Hoffman, and Allison Hoffman, one great grandchild
Grayson Hoffman, one sister, Betty Ann Hoffman, of Martinsburg, two
brothers, Eugene (Liz) Hoffman, of Claysburg, and Barry Hoffman, of
Bedford along with several nieces and nephews. He also considered Beth,
Chris (Samantha), Madison, and Kinsley Wilkerson of Smethport as his
extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Hoffman.
Family will receive friends on Thursday July 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM to
11:00 AM at Hilltop Baptist Church, followed by funeral services 11:00 AM
with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill
Funeral Homes Inc.

Gifford.
